Tunisia is Morocco's slightly cheaper brother from a production perspective. In the 90's it had some fairly major features passing through, but since then it's not managed to keep up with Morocco's domination of the North African film scene and a series of terrorist attacks in the last couple of years have only served to exacerbate this.

Allingham Production has worked in Tunisia for many years and can attest to their production friendly attitude. They have the deserts, the dramatic gorges, oasis and otherworldly salt flats, along with fabulous examples of Moorish architecture and a glittering coastline strewn with often deserted beaches.

The foreign office has flagged Tunisia as still under threat of terrorism in most areas, including the areas most likely to be used as film locations, but the situation is slowly improving.
